The earth moved on Nellie's birthday.
Literally. An earthquake. A bad one with fires all over town.
I thought it was the worst ethical dilemma of my life.
Then I discovered the true meaning of ethical dilemma.
Yes, I know.
I'm surprised too.
Nellie managed to come of age without me.
I did make it to her graduation.
There was another ceremony.
At which I was presented with a lifetime achievement award.
Falconer and Nils Varland dropped by to thank me for saving their lives.
I'm ashamed to admit that I don't remember; it was a long night.
I told Falconer that it's what I do.
Nils and Nellie got on like a house on fire, so to speak.
Joe turned 65 and the game is afoot.
It was a hard-fought match.
Which Joe won, and thus, became a grand master of chess.
Gerald is up to his old tricks.
He thought he'd evaded the consequences.
However, what goes around has a way of coming around; it seems that Mr. McGraw
Is a music talent scout.
Undeterred, he spent prom night TPing the principal's office.
And we musn't forget the flaming bag routine.
He came home in a police car instead of a limo.
Don't ask me when he managed to make time with Heather.
Is it really necessary that I do this?
Guess so.
But...look what that darling Joe-Joe did!
I think I'll keep him.
Speaking of keeping, Nellie and Nils are getting married.
I hope it works out for them.
Nellie is more than a bit of a diva.
And Nils has already managed to get crosswise of me.
Carbon footprint of my firetruck, indeed!
Hey Nils, firetruck starts with 'F'; what do you suppose it ends with?
Cute chapter! Sad seeing them all get so old.
ReplyDeleteIt *is* sad. I've recently been playing a legacy where the founder lives for 55 generations; I'm having trouble adjusting to the fact that the reaper will be along soon here.
DeleteAwww... I loved the picture of Joe when he won the chess match. He's so skinny he makes a really cute old-man-sim haha!
ReplyDeleteI also liked the exchange between Nils and Dana, very funny!
Your legacy is so fun to read because its short and sweet (and funny too) which is a nice change of pace from the heavier ones (like mine) with tons of pictures and dialogue. I love my legacy and enjoy writing it, but sometimes I wish I had done it on fast speed - it gets really involved to do the chapters. NEXT legacy I'm going to do a speedy one, hah!
Thanks, Envie! I'm awfully fond of Joe and Dana; they may have to feature in future stories. I have a soft spot in my heart for Nils as well; I'm really pleased that this challenge doesn't prohibit bringing in favourite Sims from past games!
